| Client: | The Environment Agency | This project comprised the demolition of the existing office and workshop and design and build of replacement offices and workshops totalling 840 m2. The building has achieved a BREEAM rating of 'Excellent'. In order to achieve this rating state-of-the-art mechanical and electrical systems were designed and installed to include high efficiency heating, solar panels, heat recovery air handling, lighting controls and rainwater harvesting. A detailed procurement process was developed and implemented to ensure maximum re-use/recycling of materials. This, together with responsible sourcing of all other elements, ensured minimum impact to the environment whilst still providing an excellent standard of accommodation. |
