Client: Mr A Pitcher The works comprised the construction of a unique three-storey dwelling with a semi-basement of workshops and garage. The house has a contemporary appearance, being built partly into the ground to blend with the landscape. The roof shape is taken from the Dutch barn, which forms part of the grouping of the farm buildings. Sustainable materials have been used where possible, together with energy and resource saving technologies. A steel-framed mezzanine walkway serves as a viewing gantry. Oak cladding is applied to the circular stair tower, which provides means of access to all floors.
