| Client: | Bournemouth Borough Council | This high profile project comprised the refurbishment and restoration of the existing lower ground floor of the Grade II listed Bournemouth Pavilion to create a new centre for Dance. The works comprised the creation of an entrance foyer, auditorium, professional dance studio, community dance studio, dressing rooms, male and female changing facilities, wardrobe and laundry, kitchen, administrative office and stores. The lower ground floor was remodelled to provide new changing rooms for performers and a mezzanine level added to provide public changing rooms and a community dance studio. Detailed liaison with both the Local Authority and Heritage Officer resulted in a development that provides high quality finishes whilst remaining sympathetic to the design of the original building. |
